Privacy policy
Effective date: 21 October 2026
This policy explains how MSD Technics Limited (“we”, “us”) handles personal information through Lord MSD, including the Build With MSD learning and mentorship programme, this website, the application form, the CRM and the member portal.
Who is responsible for your information?
The data controller is MSD Technics Limited (company number 14655492), registered in England and Wales. Registered office: C/O Octave Accountants, Snows Stadium, Salisbury Road, Southampton, Hampshire, SO40 2RW. Lord MSD is the public-facing brand; Build With MSD is the programme.
For privacy requests, email support@lordmsd.com.
Information we collect
- Applications and enquiries: name, email, telephone number, town or city, your answers about your current position, goals, available time and readiness, how you heard about us, and the contact permissions you choose.
- Service and CRM records: communications, appointment requests, notes, follow-up dates, application status, course access and progress information needed to respond to you and provide the programme.
- Technical and campaign information: page path and visit duration in aggregate, device type, time zone, referring page and campaign parameters. The application may also record an IP address, a masked IP address and an approximate location for security and enquiry-source reporting.
- Member support and AI Coach: if the Coach is enabled, messages you send and limited course context such as the lesson title may be processed to prepare a reply. Please do not include passwords, payment-card information or other sensitive details.
Why we use it and our lawful bases
- To review an application, answer an enquiry and take steps you request before a possible programme agreement (pre-contract steps).
- To provide the programme, manage member accounts, communicate about access and handle support (contract and legitimate interests in running the service).
- To keep the website and CRM secure, prevent misuse, maintain records and improve the service (legitimate interests, balanced against your rights).
- To send marketing emails only where you have separately opted in or another lawful permission applies. Marketing is optional and does not affect your application. You can withdraw consent at any time using an unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
- To understand general use of the public website, we count page views in aggregate. This does not use advertising cookies or identify individual visitors.
Where information comes from
Most information comes directly from you. We may also receive information through a referral, a connected service or a CRM migration where a lawful basis permits it. Where we obtain your information from another source, we will provide the source and other required privacy information directly to you within the time required by law.
Who we share it with
We share only what is needed with service providers that host the website and store records, deliver email notifications, maintain backups, or provide a feature you choose. If the AI Coach is enabled, your message and limited lesson context are sent to OpenAI to generate the response. We do not currently load the Meta advertising pixel or send advertising events from this website. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the service, or to professional advisers who owe confidentiality duties.
Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where that happens, we use an applicable transfer mechanism and safeguards required by data-protection law.
Cookies and advertising
We do not currently use advertising cookies or the Meta advertising pixel on this website. Our public-page analytics count views in aggregate without storing a visitor identifier, cookie or browsing history on your device. Essential sign-in and security technologies are used only where needed to provide the service you request.
How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, to manage an enquiry or programme relationship, meet legal and accounting duties, maintain security, or resolve a dispute. We review records and delete or anonymise them when they are no longer needed. Backups may retain a protected copy for a limited period while the backup cycle expires.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access, correction, deletion or restriction; object to processing based on legitimate interests; request a portable copy; or withdraw consent. To exercise a right, email support@lordmsd.com. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Security and changes
We use access controls and technical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold. No online service can promise absolute security. We may update this policy when our practices or legal requirements change; the effective date above shows when it was last reviewed.
